This simple and affordable touring helmet may be a stripped down version of an earlier helmet, but it is still full of features and looks great. The Scorpion Exo 490 owes a lot to the Scorpion Exo 500. The 490 has an outer shell engineered from an advanced polycarbonate for lightweight protection and an EPS lined chin bar. Behind the Pinlock-ready MaxVision visor is a SpeedView retractable sun visor for a better view of the road on sunny rides.

Comfort is a major factor with touring helmets. You wear them for extended periods of time so you need to be happy with it. The Exo 490 has a removable and washable interior with moisture wicking QkikWick2 materials. KwikWick2 materials keep you cool and dry in the summer, but warm in the cooler months. The multi-point ventilation system ensures constant fresh air, while the micro-ratchet closure system is quick to unfasten and easy to get a precise fit. The whole package is wrapped up in a 5 year Scorpion warranty.NOTE: This helmet is delivered with a clear visor NOT the dark visor as shown in the image.
